Can be helpful, but...

Like some of the other reviews have noted you don't really need a guide to complete X-Men Destiny. This is a fun abet brainless button masher most will have no problem completing. However, there are a few things to note about Brady's guide.
First of all, despite the fact that it was released the same day according to the data I found, this guide does not cover the Wii version. I would think the Wii version would be the same outside decreased graphic efficiency but I could be wrong.
Second, the guide fights against the idea of choice that one finds in the game. The author really tries to recommend which power you use with each character which seems like an easy to lighten the load when it comes to writing strategy. Again, you won't really need that much strategy to beat X-Men Destiny but trying to influence how players set up their characters is kind of crappy.
Third, the main reason I purchased this guide was the command list. Because of the super-small text used in in-game menus I had a real hard time deciphering how to activate some of the later mutant powers. The game's manual is not helpful in this because - like many current gen games - manuals have become an afterthought to game developers. I guess I'm alone in how I consider the manual part of the game.
Fourth, the sad truth is because of X-Men Destiny selling rather poorly your not going to find many - if any - fan written guides for it. This is pretty much your only resource... and it's kind of sad the guide actually cost more than the game.

You REALLY don't need this.

I'm certain that this is a perfectly functional strat guide, but unless you collect them for all of your games, this one would be a waste of your time. I bought the game, popped it in, and about four to five hours later, I beat it on regular mode and got 37 achievements in one sitting. The next time through was on X-Treme difficulty and I got over 40. Finally, I beat it on the lowest setting, and got all of the collectibles, achievements, and played all of the characters with all different abilities. If you actually need this guide, you, perhaps, should find a new hobby. :-)

I don't think that anything else can be said about the quality of BradyGames strategy guides without sounding like bragging or being overly arrogant. Outstanding tips, excellent walk-throughs, everything a person needs to make their gaming experience that much better!!!
