...and on to book three

This is the second book in the Starstruck series. Like the first, it is a clean read with no sex and mild cussing. The sci-fi aspect increases in focus as the real world decreases. There is also a bit of a darker feel to this second book. I would suggest you read the first book in the series before you get into this one as it is a continuation of the original storyline. In this book 'M' is beginning to manifest what sets her apart as a 'royal'. Her special bond with Rigel is questioned, discouraged and even sabotaged but the result is a strengthening. This book ends with a hint of what is next. It's not a cliffhanger, just a gentle teaser. If you don't plan on reading both of the next books stop here. I've read the reviews and the third book ends in an emotional cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers and have never deliberately bought one, until now. I bought the last two books and don't plan on 'hanging' for too long. I don't feel tricked into buying it and that makes all the difference. These are well written and edited books with just a few errors (a missing or misused word). The characters are strongly written and the scenes easily envisioned. I recommend this book.

This is the second book in this series i have read and since it is Friday night I am starting the next one despite the fact that it is after one a.m. The story line is multifaceted so its never boring, yet its not too complicated to keep track of. The characters are nice people while being realistic and theres nothing offensive so it has my unreserved recommendation.

Wow. What a trip. Hiatt picks up right where she left off in the first novel in the series and takes her readers on an even more unbelievable journey. That said, she continues with the same vividly brilliant writing style that we’ve come to know and love her for. The story is ground in reality, making it easy for the audience to immerse themselves in. at the same time suspense and intrigue are abundant, drawing you forward into this brilliant world.

I quite enjoyed getting to know the new characters in this instalment. They were very well developed and added quite a bit of intrigue and mystery to the novel. Not only that, but we got more of the characters that made us fall in love with this series. The main characters become even more loveable as they grow into their roles and fight for what they believe in. At the same time, the reality of being a teen in high school shines through clearly and realistically. Overall, everyone, old and new, melded together to create a brilliantly unique cast that will take you out of this world.

As a whole, this was an extremely enjoyable novel. I really appreciated the realism behind it and how Hiatt shows her readers the possibilities in our world today without losing the forward pace of the story. I, for one, can’t wait for the next instalment in this series.
