Highly Informative Book on Pilates.....

This is an excellent book for some one who wants pursue a lifestyle change and achieve a balanced body through sensible dose of diet and Pilates training. Having personally taken Pilates training, this book has been a great refresher. I found the emphasis in the book on posture management and developing core strength particularly well documented and illustrated.
I am 70 years old and an avid golfer for the last 25 years. I started taking Pilates classes including vertical Pilates (from Zeena, the co-author of the book) several years ago. In the last two years I have reduced my golf handicap from 17 to lowest ever 12 currently (for non-golfers, this is a major improvement!). I attribute this improvement entirely to the increased flexibility, stability and core strength I have been able to attain through Pilates.
The book is an easy read and is filled with inspirational endorsements from several celebrities and others who have benefited from Pilates training.

Excellent all around book on fitness with specific, well described exercises

I've worked out with Zeena for several years now and in that time have learned more about my body than in four decades of yoga;- but who knew she could write! This book is both specific- do this, not that- and broad- this is what you need to know about good posture. I also appreciate the structure of the book, especially "How to Use This Book." Try NOT to skip directly to the exercises. Not everything in the early chapters will speak to you initially, but read it anyway- take your time- then do the exercises. Well done, Zeena and Yasmin!

easy to read with very informative material as how to ...

The book is short, easy to read with very informative material as how to sculpt and shape without injuries. I have a history of severe osteoarthritis that started in my knees. The pain caused my body to go out of alignment with more problems. That is when I heard about Pilates and went to train with Zeena, (the co-author of the book) The book talks about how to stand, sit and walk which acted as a great refresher course for me. Zeena started my training from there to improve my alignment reducing more injuries in future.
The book inspired me to continue my practice with correct form and recruiting the correct muscles without future injuries.
Thank you both, Yasmin and Zeena, for correcting our postures.
