In the Scale Expanding Cosmos theory, not only is space continually expanding, but time is as well. This provocative idea implies, among other things, that we live in a universe that has always existed and always will, an idea that runs counter to prevailing scientific theories that everything in the universe is racing toward a cold, dark end. With this book, Masreliez aims to "help us get out of the dead end in which physics now finds itself, and help improve our understanding of the world."
About the Author
Born in Sweden 1939 Johan immigrated to the US in 1967 becoming an engineer at the Boeing Company in Seattle. He has a MS degree from the Royal Institute in Stockholm, Department Teknisk Fysik, and a Ph. D. degree from the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Washington in Seattle. After a career as a research engineer at Boeing and later at Honeywell Marine Systems he started his own company, Analytic Technology, in 1978 based on one of his inventions. He ran this company together with his wife until selling it in 1995. Since 1993 Johan has been conducting independent research on the Scale Expanding Cosmos model and has over the years published a number of papers and essays on this and related subjects including the origin of the inertial force and the link between General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. This book summarizes his findings over the seventeen years since 1993.

Great read for the average person interested in cosmology and physics.

I cannot believe I am the first to review this book. In my opinion, Johnan Masreliez is the next Einstein of cosmology. While he may not be the first to conceive of Space Expanding Cosmos, he has explained it clearly and a layman such as I can understand it even without his mathematics (which he provided for those so inclined). The book makes more sense than the current standard theory of the cosmos and is easier grasp that the current theory as well. I recommend it to you.

Well worth a read and certainly worth the money.

I just finished the book. I took it slowly over some weeks, a bit at a time. Clearly, Dr. Masreliez is not your average physicist. He is a cut above most I think, a man who has the ability of original thought uninfluenced by traditional ways of thinking. He has the courage to question and to make sound deductions. I like his theory and found it beguiling if not compelling. In fact it could well be the next step in explaining our universe beyond current accepted science. I understand everything he proposes and cannot find fault with this way of explaining our world. I am sure all the ideas and the associated math' all work out well. The theory postulates that time does not pass at a constant rate over the eons but also that space itself still "expands". The overall effect is the scale expansion. The only concern I have is whether the changing time rate on its own might be the explanation for everything and we might consider doing away with the expanding space idea altogether? I believe this will be equivalent to his scale expansion. For instance, if time speeds up over the eons, then the light year you travelled before now takes slightly more time to traverse the same distance for the same, relative energy of motion. So, to us, immersed in our new time rate field, although we experience exactly the same effects, the distance travelled is now longer compared to what it would have been before. In other words, space has effectively expanded. But in this case, it is time only that is the cause, not any physical change. However, it seems to me that Dr. Masreliez's theory tells the same story ultimately. To explore this alternative explanation you might try "The Binary Universe".
